Kashmir Issue and Pakistani Media; new policies should be emerge

From the last 70 years, Pakistan is raising voice against illegitimate supremacy of India over Kashmir. The duplicity by Lord Mount Baitain created a great human tragedy now. The apparently simple territorial issue of Kashmir is not a simple territorial issue or a border line problem between the two countries; it is the issue of ideology, the wishful concern to live with respect and peace and the issue of self determination of the people of Kashmir. It is very obvious to the whole world that Pakistan is an ideological country which created on a TWO NATION’ idea, that in combine India, Muslims cannot live together with the Hindus due to their class system and their unequal human norms, the history of the patrician is enough to tell the misbehavior and un justice with a blend of brutality of the Hindu nation, so no one can justify that the Muslims of the Kashmir are happy with them; even the population of the Kashmir is also against the India. This is not a simple issue the Kashmir is the only reason which lead to the both countries to a nuclear power, both countries are spending much of their budget on their defense while poverty and illiteracy is ruling on the common men lives on both countries. India’ aggression for war pushed Pakistan to defensive edge while at every forum Pakistan is raising voice for a peaceful resolution to the issue of the Kashmir. There are many changes with the passage of time and the voice rising also changed its forms, in current age the social media is more powerful than war, it’s the only tool which can not only convey the message to across the continents but also can make a narrative or brain wash on such issues. India is a largest populated country and no doubt the media and social media is proponent of Indian narrative and presenting a false picture rather than to speak truth about the Kashmir. Pakistan has full concern on Kashmir but some unfortunate situations with media in Pakistan often slowdown the efforts of voice rising for the Kashmir. It is time to speed up the efforts by measurable steps.

Seven Decade and Kashmir

The dispute of the Kashmir is not new for the two neighbor countries, both countries have their own stance on the issue but as a matter of fact Pakistan is not much effective in its stance as the India in its propaganda over Kashmir. It is very hard for the Pakistan to admit that all his efforts courage and non-stop voice for Kashmir is not as prominent as the propaganda of India is. The digging of the matter is not important here but this paper will bring forward some lacking and the use of new techniques to present it properly while Pakistan is already on a good positive stance; the narrative of Pakistan is “stop genocide and the prevention of brutality in Kashmir” and the India is the sole country who is doing it since long, India has no moral slogan for the Kashmir and don’t have any ethical approach to the territory of the Kashmir. The point to be noted here is that all brutal acts of India is obvious to all but the propaganda of India is so apt that through their proper foreign policy, they imposed it to whole world that it is just a border and territorial issue while Pakistan has often without proper foreign minister, the weak political system and the sanction on media often put the Kashmir issue a side. A brief look on the last seventy years shows that the Kashmir was prior issue for all governments either it was military or civil era but the cunning attempts from the India on various occasions always turned the efforts of peaceful dialogue into a border or internal tensions; here the incident of Taj Hotel Mumbai, Train incident Attari,  Pulwama attacks are landmark that the time exposed the drama of the India to mislead the world and allegations on Pakistan from the India, proved fake, but the long time of investigation the truth made things complex and the Kashmir issue or the voice for the Kashmir always represented by India and Indian Media as the External hand from Pakistan, just to mislead the world. 

Pakistani Media and Kashmir Policy 

Pakistan is a small country as compare to India and the weak political situation plus the saddle from the west especially during Afghan war, overburden the country. It was a situation when Pakistan not only found solutions for the west but also did effort to maintain its own stability and peace by encountering the reiterate attempts from the internal and external enemies. In the whole situation the analysis of Pakistani media nad Indian media shows that the most responsible and attenuate was the Pakistani media while Indian media always created hype and promote hate speech even their anchors were not unbiased during reporting and analysis. Again the point is that in spite of responsible reporting and through rational analysis the Pakistani media is still not a reliable vibe for the west and many other countries especially on the issue of Kashmir and Philistine; the key features are here: 

• Voice of Pakistan for the Kashmir and philistine has been taken as a single ethnic voice; the voice for Muslims from a single Muslim country  
• The other Muslims countries and organizations like OIC are not much active on the issues of two burning situations i.e Kashmir and Philistine 
• The beneficent from the west compel the resourceful Muslim countries to stay quite over the violation of human rights in Kashmir and take it as just a border issue.  

Pakistani media and Active Kashmir Cell, Recommendations and new hope  

To build the trustworthy image of the Pakistani media it is very necessary that media should be free and there should not be restrictions from the government on certain occasion. To construct a reliable position media also take some more serious steps in media policy and should draw a certain line that what should be go on-air to the international level and what is for the local level. The biggest drawback in our political system is that for the political point scoring, the politicians put blame on each other without caring that on such sensitive issues this point securing is no doubt beneficial for their political campaign but at far end it’s fatal for the future of the Pakistan. The abrupt hyper attitude on certain times creates a divisive situation and our media start talk shows and reports and analysis on such statements rather than issues, the need of time is to make a policy or conduct some workshops to demonstrate to the media persons that what and where to give weight on prime time and what should be at local level that should not be on air on many countries. There must be some positive programs like Voice of America or BBC’ sairbeen Urdu, to present a authentic and positive image of the country. There must be a channel which should be like Aljazeera which is hosted by a small country of Qatar but holds reliability from all over the world. The issue of Kashmir is always in the prime time of Pakistani media but he political parties’ statements about each other that someone is selling Kashmir or that the opposition have personal relations with India so the matter of Kashmir is under the carpet and then the response of Pakistani media especially on those channels which are globally watch, is really equally lethal to the Kashmiris as the Indian army. The certain channels on radio and TV have been fixed time for Kashmir and it’s a ray of hope that a message of moral values and the violence of human rights can well presented to the world and Pakistan should take clear stance that India has no moral and ethical ground for the Kashmir, India has just an illegal control on the lives of the human of the Kashmir and is surely unable to justify its brutal acts there.   

Conclusion 

Kashmir is important for the Pakistan not only due to its strategic location but also due to its Islamic brotherhood as well. The morality in Islam clearly denotes that “And whoever saves one – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.”, and the killing of innocent people in the Kashmir is the biggest human tragedy from the world’ largest democratic and secular country named India. On this cruelty Pakistan is raising voice from the last 70 years at every possible international forum that India has no moral and legal ground over Kashmir, as the UN also gave a special status to the Indian occupied Kashmir; but the Modi government is still ignoring the all ethics and converts Kashmir into a big human prisoner, at this time of sorrow and trouble, the role of Pakistani media is very important and with the changing media situation it is important for the Pakistani media to take a look and revise its policies for the top gear to rescue Kashmir by using all means of communication with a focus on issue and not to the just momentary political statements from the Pakistani politicians especially.
